How To Join

  • To become an official member, a club fee has to be paid (see below for cost details) as well as registration to the UACC BearsDen.

  • During the Fall/Winter semesters, prospective members may have up to two free meetings before deciding to officially become a member. Club memberships last for the entirety of the academic year, being renewed annually.

  • Club fees can be paid via cash or e-transfer (ualbertachessclub@gmail.com).

Types of Members

General
Member
($10)

defined as any student who signs up for the student group mailing list and/or who has attended one group meeting or event over the year. General Members are able to vote on all group matters as well as bring up suggestions and recommendations for executives to debate.

Cost -> $10

Executive
Member ($15)

Defined as a member who has been elected/appointed to an executive position.

Executive Members vote, plan and make decisions regarding club meetings, tournaments, fundraisers and other matters.

 

Cost -> $15
